Overview

Owlet SMM is a product designed to help users enhance their social media presence by purchasing engagement metrics such as Facebook views, Twitter likes, Instagram followers, and more. The app aims to provide a seamless and user-friendly experience, allowing users to quickly and easily boost their social media metrics and increase their online visibility.

The brief was simple; the client wanted users to purchase engagement as easily as they could. "I just want people to buy what they want and receive value in less than 5 minutes."

Research

To understand the brief properly, I started off with some research. The first question was "Where can I buy Instagram likes easily?" and this query led me to products like Stormlikes, Twicsy, SocialKing, Mediamister and many others. Finally, I got a view of what people that buy engagement see.

I arranged for a call with my friend who is a social media manager for a popular brand in Nigeria and shared my task with her. She was familiar with the ask and directed me to the app she usually bought engagement from and from subsequent calls, I was able to start a sketch of the flow.

Did I mention that I had to deliver in less than two weeks?
Designs

My major task was to make the user journey as easy as possible. I segmented the product into 5 parts following the request of my client. The onboarding section, the home section, the orders section, the user wallet and user profile.

Let's get started!
This section holds the onboarding screens - Sign Up and Sign In
Buying Engagement
This section show the flow for buying various metrics starting from the simplified home screen.
Managing orders and payment
In this section, users can view their orders, fund their wallets and monitor transactions.
Profile

Landing Page
The client wanted the simplest landing page for users to download the app easily.
Takeaways

Designing this product kept me on my toes. I had to deliver in less than two weeks so I had to summon speed and proper understanding my task.

I added this to my portfolio one year after designing it and I am met with a lot of "Oh, I could have designed this card this way". This is what keeps me going as a designer. Knowing that I will never be stuck in a loop forever, technologies are changing, new trends come up daily and I have to keep up. I am a different designer than I was last year. I have grown and will keep growing.
